VMware lays down corporate IT marker

The chief executive of VMware, the hottest software startup in the new era of "cloud computing," Maritz was himself a top Microsoft executive in the 1990s, and ultimately responsible for such landmark products as the Windows 95 operating system. Read more

Google plans to launch a service that will allow users to access their personal computer from any internet connection, according to TG Daily. Google Drive, or Gdrive, will pose a major challenge to Microsoft's Windows. Gdrive is essentially cloud-based storage where Google data centers have the capacity to hold your entire hard drive.
