Whole Foods plans automated, Kinect shopping carts

Whole Foods has partnered with a developer of mobile Kinect applications to create a motorized, high-tech shopping cart. Austin, TX-based Chaotic Moon has developed a prototype shopping cart for Whole Foods that features voice and gesture recognition controls, self checkout and can help locate items in the store, reports GeekWire.
