It appears we are in a state of future shock following the recent rumors and announcements from Silicon Valley about the development of smart watches and voice-activated, computerized glasses encumbered with a miniature camera.
The fashion police are especially unhappy about Project Glass. Google is well aware that the popularity of Glass hinges on the element of style. Google has collaborated with designer Diane von Furstenberg and Warby Parker, a maker of trendy eyeglasses, in an effort to make their spectacles fashionable.
