Google survives antitrust probe

Joe Leibowitz, chairman of the Federal Trade Commission, announced at a press conference yesterday that the FTC had voted 5-0 to end its investigation into unfair search practices by Google without taking any enforcement action. The agency's decision also ended a probe into allegations that Google misused patents to thwart smartphone competition, according to reports by the Washington Post, Bloomberg and CBS News.
