Workplace charging stations for electric vehicles are the latest Silicon Valley perk

Electric vehicle charging stations are being installed for workers at SAP's Palo Alto headquarters. There will be a total of 16, divided up into several of the parking lots. Employees can charge their vehicles for free through 2011. In the future, this ChargePoint card can be used to pay for electrical charge, which will cost about 25 cents for one hour. (Karen T.
