Father and son probe space with HD camera and iPhone

Luke Geissbuhler and his seven-year-old son Max launched an iPhone and HD camera into space. The iPhone, whose GPS transmitter was used to track the probe, and camera were attached to a weather ballon and launched from Newburgh, New York.  The ballon burst after a 70-minute flight and the father and son team retrieved their makeshift space probe 30 miles from where it was launched.

Geissbuhler posted images from the space flight on his website, the Brooklyn Space Program.
