YouTube is collaborating with two Oscar-winning directors to make the "Life in a Day" documentary featuring amatuer videos submitted from around the world.
YouTube will collect the videos in a attempt to film the lifes of millions of ordinary people on July 24. Ridley Scott, who directed Gladiator, and Kevin Macdonald, who made The Last King of Scotland, will select 20 of the submissions and make a full-length feature film to show at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. The July 24 videos must be uploaded to the YouTube "Life in a Day" channel, which contains further details, by July 31.
