Electric car documentary trailer released

"Revenge of the Electric Car," a documentary film expected to open in theaters next year, takes a behind-the-scenes look at Tesla Motors, General Motors and Nissan Motors as the three auto makers lead the race to develop and bring electric cars to market.

The  trailer shows clips of Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Bob Lutz, former vice chairman of GM, maker of the Chevy Volt electric vehicle. Carlos Ghosn, the head of Nissan, maker of the Leaf electric car, is also featured in the trailer, as is Wall Street Journal auto critic Dan Neil.

In addition to the trailer, the film, which is directed by Chis Paine, is being promoted on Facebook and Twitter.
